MILFORD - Gladys Riggens, 86, of Leesburg, died Feb. 26, 2011, in Our Lady of Peace Hospital, Mishawaka.
She was born May 4, 1924, in Kosciusko County, to Calvin and Maggie Hahn Stahly. She married Glenn Riggens, who died in 1975.
A longtime resident of Oswego, she worked at Korth Furniture Factory for several years and more recently as a painter for Winona Corp. She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed bird watching, gardening, cooking, puzzles and garage saling on the golf cart.
Surviving are four sons: Mac Moody and Jack (and spouse Laura) Moody, all of Oswego, and Tom (and spouse Cathy) Moody and David (and spouse Gloria) Moody, all of Milford; two daughters, Mary (and spouse Dave) Helmuth, Wakarusa, and Sally (and spouse John) Morehead, all of Milford; 16 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild on the way; and a sister, Velma Stahly, Warsaw. She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Mishler Funeral Home, Milford, officiated by Pastor Billy Hesketh. Burial will be in Leesburg Cemetery.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
