ROCHESTER – Gladys M. Leap, 94, formerly of Rochester, died at 11:48 a.m. July 13, 2011, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Culver, where she resided.
She was born June 15, 1917, in Fulton County, to Jonas Mathias and Mae Lunsford Shidaker. On March 4, 1940, in Aubbeenaubbee Township, she married Manson W. Leap, who died Sept. 26, 1998.
She worked at Rochester Metal Products and Hart, Schaffner and Marx, both in Rochester. She attended Kewanna First Baptist Church.
Surviving are her children: Patsy (and spouse Jerry) Holcomb, Anderson; John (and spouse Debi) Leap, Rochester; and Ann Blair, Mentone; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, with the Rev. Ron Purkey officiating. Burial will be in Moon Cemetery, Rochester.
Calling is from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to service Monday at the funeral home.
