The pairings for the 37th annual girls basketball state pairings were released Sunday night, with local teams learning the roads they must travel. In Class 4A, Sectional 4 action at Goshen High School, the Warsaw Lady Tigers drew a first-round bye, and will face the winner of Elkhart Central/Elkhart Memorial. The top half of the bracket has Concord getting a bye, as the Lady Minutemen will await the winner of Northridge/Goshen. At Wawasee, the Class 3A Sectional 21 opens with Wawasee taking on Lakeland, a team it defeated 66-25 on Nov. 15. The winner of that game gets West Noble in the semifinals. The bottom half of the bracket has Tippecanoe Valley and Fairfield squaring off, with the winner going on to take on NorthWood. Class 3A Sectional 23 will take place at Mississinewa High School, with the Whitko Lady Wildcats drawing Mississinewa in the opening round, with the winner moving on to face Bellmont in the semifinals. The bottom half of the bracket has Eastbrook and Heritage playing one another for the right to move into the semifinals against Class 3A No. 1 Norwell. The Manchester Lady Squires will be at Wabash High School for Class 2A Sectional 37, drawing Southwood in the opening round, a team they lost to 38-33 on Dec. 16. The winner of that game moves on to face the winner of Northfield/North Miami in the next round. At Oregon-Davis High School, the Class 1A No. 7 Triton Lady Trojans received a first-round bye and will play the winner of South Central/Argos. The bottom half of the bracket pits Class 1A No. 6 Oregon-Davis against Culver, while Michigan City Marquette faces Westville. As dates and times are released, they will be published.
