First-graders at Madison Elementary School had a good time making gingerbread houses with their families prior to Christmas break. Parents sent in goodies to decorate the recycled milk cartons. It likely took a lot of self-control on the part of those 6- to 7-year-olds. What child would not want to dig in and eat those yummy candies? They did a great job, according to teacher Amy Swihart. Fun was had by all, she said. Pictured are Abi and her mother.
