Ice sculptures, Santa’s House, carriage rides and the annual Twinkle Light parade drew hundreds of people to downtown Warsaw for First Friday and to Central Park for Light Up the Night. The line for the Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Santa’s House (Photo No. 1) was the longest line at First Friday, which had a theme of “Hometown Holly Days.” The line for the carriage rides was a close second. Today, Santa’s House, which has been remodeled thanks to Pacemaker Buildings’ donation of all new siding, moves down to Central Park. Hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays. From noon to 3 p.m. Dec. 14 and 21, Santa’s House will offer Pet Pictures Day, with donations benefitting The Meadows. There were eight ice sculptures carved during First Friday. Each sculpture had a sponsor and they were scattered downtown. Colby Bush, 18, of Michigan City, (Photo No. 2) carved a dump truck for sponsor Everest Excavating. Bush said he’s been ice carving for two years.
