Gertrude Alice Tague Haymaker, 96, of Franklin and formerly of Warsaw, died Aug. 23, 2012, in Johnson Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 11, 1916, in Trafalgar, to Jacob Zachariah and Sara Ellen “Sallie” Jolliffe Tague. On Dec. 1, 1935, she married C. Edward Haymaker, who preceded her in death.
She was a 1934 graduate of Union Township High School. During World War II, she worked at Noblitt Sparks Industries in the personnel and production departments for 12 years. She was a member and secretary at First United Methodist Church, Warsaw. She was a 75-year member of Order of Eastern Star, Nineveh Chapter No. 423.
Surviving are a daughter, Katherine L. Evans, Franklin; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a son, a sister and brother.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Flinn and Maquire Funeral Home, Franklin. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Franklin.
