SYRACUSE – Gerric Dillon Walker, age 46, and a longtime resident of the Syracuse area, passed away at his Cromwell home on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022, at 4:28 p.m.

Born in Goshen on May 24, 1976, Gerric was the son of Christopher Walker and Vickie Staker Kaze. He was a 1995 graduate of Wawasee High School.

Professionally, Gerric worked as a semi-professional football player and owned his own cleaning business. He was a professional wrestler for more than 20 years.

More personally, Gerric was kind-hearted, giving and loved to make people smile. He was charitable in his own way and rarely missed an opportunity to help others, even strangers. More than anything, Gerric loved his six sons; he was very proud of them. He loved having all his family under one roof.

Survivors include wife, Elizabeth “Liz” Walker; six sons: Jon (Tatum), Aaron, Cody (Emily), Dillon, C.J. and Ian Walker; two half brothers, Troy Walker and Patrick Kaze; two stepsisters, Carly Hatfield and Eliza Moseman; mother, Vickie Kaze; father, Christopher (Cindy) Walker; father and mother-in-law, Dorothy and Tom Schuerman; and grandson, Ilo McKinley. He was preceded in passing by his maternal grandparents, Patricia and Jack Staker; and paternal grandparents, Wilber and Mildred Walker.

Titus Funeral Home is entrusted with Gerric’s care with services through Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse.

Visitation will be held at the Syracuse location on Sunday, Nov. 6 from 2 to 6 p.m. At 6 p.m. Gerric’s friends and family will lead a small Life Celebration.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 6941 E. Waco Drive, Syracuse. Father Jason Frieburger and Father Andrew Nazareth with celebrate the Mass. Burial will follow in North Webster Cemetery’s Mock Addition.
