Geraldine A Hanrahan, 71, Warsaw, passed away at 11:09 p.m. Sept. 9, 2015, in her residence, where she resided with her daughter and son-in-law Jeff and Di’ana Sheetz.
She was born Aug. 21, 1944, to James Joseph and Elsie M. Cox Hanrahan.
She will forever be known for her unforgettable and amazing gift of strength, courage and devotion to her children and unconditional love and faith that we can overcome anything we set our hearts and minds to. She will be missed but never forgotten. Her light will forever shine guiding her children and all who she touched through life’s journeys and be by our sides. She was an amazing gift from God and we are all blessed to be able to call her mom, sister and friend. Rest in peace until we meet again. She was one of 11 children. Six of her siblings preceded in death.
Survivors are: four daughters, Di’ana Rodriguez Sheetz, Warsaw; Nancy Rodriguez Schendzielos and April Fonz Anderson Vaughn, both of St. Joseph, Minn.; and Fluiteta Montgomery, San Diego Calif.; a son, Joseph James Fonz, Warsaw; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers: Jim Hanrahan, Wyoming, and Ray, Don and Larry Hanrahan, all of Illinois; and two sisters, Ruth Hanrahan Fite and Dorothy Hanrahan Phillips, both of Illinois.
Private family services were held Sept. 10, 2015, at McHatton-Sadler funeral Chapels, Warsaw.
A celebration of life is planned in her Warsaw residence at a later date.
