PLYMOUTH – Gerald James Thomas, 100, died at 1:06 a.m. Feb. 3, 2012, in Pilgrim Manor.
He was born April 17, 1911, in Plymouth, to William Arthur and Viola Belle Berger Thomas. He was preceded in death by three wives, Pauline E. Suter Thomas, Althea R. Ward Thomas and Thelma Dudley Thomas.
He graduated from Bourbon High School in 1931 and worked at R.R. Donnelley & Sons for eight years as a paper shredder, retiring in 1976.
Surviving are two sons; three grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; a brother; and a sister. He also was preceded in death by two brothers.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Plymouth Wesleyan Church. Burial will be in Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth, with military honors by members of Plymouth American Legion Post 27, Veterans of Foreign Wars Marshall County Post 1162 and Disabled American Veterans.
Calling is from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, Plymouth, and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church. ***** Memorials may be made to Plymouth Wesleyan Church.
