The Bush crime family just can't keep its nose out of anything. Georgia has been spoiling for a fight. They have been buying massive amounts of weapons from the Israel arms makers for some time. There was no need for Georgia to have such a military buildup. There is no way that they could duke it out with Russia. Another back room Cheney promise to come to their aid I bet.
Several people at the top of the Georgian government are also Israeli citizens, along with Israeli military troops that are there. There have been as many as 2,000 mercenaries and U.S. troops in Georgia for some time training. Training for what? The autonomous regions had been agreed on at the time of Georgia's Independence. There were peacekeeping troops there. Then the Georgian military, along with perhaps a thousand U.S. advisers and mercenaries, invade these autonomous provinces blowing the hell out of the capital, university and private housing. These troops went up and down the street throwing grenades into the basements where the people were trying to escape the attack.
If a few thousand Russians were in Mexico training, the Mexican army and then the Mexican army attack southern Texas, what do you think Washington would do? Possibly nothing but they should intervene. The corporate press for the first couple of days were totally ignoring the fact that these autonomous areas were attacked viciously by the Georgian military. All you heard was anti-Russian rhetoric.
What is that nut job in Washington doing? First he circles Russia with with missiles, as if it was still the Cold War. Then he starts recruiting every eastern European country into NATO and he expects the Russians to sit on their hands.
There are nearly 100 warships moving toward Iran as I write. Does Bush really want a Third World war? I think he does. I think all the Republican congressman and senators, along with the limp-wristed do-nothing Democrat congress are just as guilty. The problem with the Republican Party is that there is no more Republic only corporate Neo-Cons.
