George Otto Alexander, 74, Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Aug. 2, 2016, at his residence. He was born Jan. 20, 1942, in Warsaw, to Fred and Annabelle Henline Alexander, and moved to Port Charlotte in 2004 from Warsaw. He was married to Katharine E. Alexander, who survives in Port Charlotte. He graduated from Pierceton High School and served in the US Navy. He was Pierceton town marshal and Multi Township EMS paramedic, Warsaw, before returning to Florida. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather, who will be missed but not forgotten. Also surviving are a daughter, Kara Alexander, Bloomington; a sister, Diane Pifer, Warsaw; a brother, Edd (and spouse Cheryl) Habegger, Warsaw; and three granddaughters. He was preceded in death by a son, Marc Alexander; two brothers, Michael Habegger and Denton Habegger; and his parents, Fred and Annabelle Henline Alexander.
