ROCHESTER – Genevieve Ruth St. Clair, 96, of Rochester, died at 7 p.m. June 3, 2012, in her sister’s residence.

She was born June 25, 1915, in Chicago, Ill., to William and Dolly Hicken Wheatley. On April 23, 1949, in Chicago, she married Percy B. “Bud” St. Clair, who died Nov. 24, 1994.

She graduated from Leiters Ford High School in 1933 and later the Chicago Business College. She worked in the Administrative Department of Unemployment for the State of Illinois for 40 years. She moved to the Rochester area from Walkerton in 2010. She attended St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rochester.

Surviving are a daughter, Genevieve Ann (and spouse Walter “Wally”) Gorski, Brookings, Ore.; a sister, Martha Murray, Rochester; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester, with Father Bert Woolson officiating. Burial will be in Rochester IOOF Cemetery.

Calling is one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.
