NAPPANEE - Genevieve J. Yoder, 81, of 72429 CR 9, Nappanee, died unexpectedly of natural causes at 7:08 p.m. Jan. 17, 2010, in Bremen Community Hospital.

She was born March 10, 1928, in Churubusco, to Schuyler Colfax Sr. and Geraldine Hullinger Fuller. On Sept. 11, 1948, in Warsaw, she married William M. Yoder, who died Oct. 29, 1990.

A lifetime area resident, she was a Nappanee High School graduate and a homemaker. She was a member of First Church of God, where she was a Sunday school teacher and served funeral dinners.

Surviving are a daughter, Karen (and spouse James) Stahly, Milford; a stepdaughter, JoAnn (and spouse Wayne) Germillion, Warsaw; two granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First Church of God with the Rev. Sam Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Bremen Cemetery.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.
