Gatlin Brothers To Present Holiday Show At Honeywell Center

Posted
WABASH - WWKI will welcome Larry Gatlin & The Gatlin Brothers to the Honeywell Center Dec. 10 at 7:30 p.m.

The show will feature holiday favorites as well as their classic hits. Tickets are $19, $29 and $75, and are on sale now.

More than 50 years ago, Larry, Steve and Rudy Gatlin started singing in their small Texas hometown and from there went on to make music history. Over the course of four decades, their career has taken The Gatlin Brothers from dusty Texas stages to White House performances, Broadway, Grammy Awards and the top of the country charts.

A string of hits in the early '70s led to Larry Gatlin winning a Grammy for the single "Broken Lady". That same year all three brothers were inducted into the Grand Ole Opry. The success of their album "High Time" in 1977 encouraged the brothers to become an official trio, and in 1979 they signed a group deal with Columbia Records.

Over the next decade the Brothers won numerous awards and scored more than a dozen Top 40 hits, including "Denver," "She Used To Be Somebody's Baby," "Take Me To Your Lovin' Place," "Love Is Just A Game" and "The Lady Takes A Cowboy Every Time." After a brief break from touring, popular demand promped them to do select dates, calling them "The Gatlin Brothers Never-Ending Reunion Tour."Tickets are available at the box office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, by calling 260-563-1102, visiting www.honeywellcenter.org or by dialing *tix from your Centennial Wireless phone.
