Army Sgt. Christopher P. Garlinger has been mobilized and activated at Fort Dix, N.J., for a deployment overseas to a forward operating base in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.The soldier is a member of the 38th Military Police Co., a national guard unit based in Delphi, Ind.
Garlinger, a military police team leader, has served in the military for nine years.
He is the son of Phillip D. Garlinger of Syracuse, Ind., and Renee A. Duncan, Delphi.
The sergeant is a 1998 graduate of Delphi Community High School.
