Gaertes Married For 50 Years

Dennis and Darlene Gaerte, Warsaw, celebrated their 50th anniversary in June with a family trip to Corolla, N.C.
Dennis Gaerte and the former Darlene Perry were married June 24, 1967, in Burr Oak Baptist Church by Fred Kunkle.
Darlene received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Indiana Tech and retired from Zimmer, where she worked as a training specialist.
Dennis received his Ph.D. from Purdue University and was a professor in the education department at Grace College until his retirement in 2015.
The couple’s children are Denise Smith, Warsaw; David Gaerte, Warsaw; and Doug (Stacy) Gaerte, Plainfield. They have five grandchildren.
