Dennis and Darlene Gaerte, Warsaw, marked their 40th wedding anniversary June 24. Dennis Gaerte and Darlene Perry were married June 24, 1967, at Burr Oak Baptist Church by Pastor Fred Kunkle.
He received his doctorate from Purdue University and is a professor of education at Grace College. She is a training specialist at Zimmer and has an associate's degree in business management and currently is pursuing her bachelor's degree.
The couple have three children: Mrs. Tim (Denise) Smith, Warsaw; David Gaerte, Detroit, Mich.; and Doug (and wife Stacy) Gaerte, Plainfield, Ill. They have four grandchildren.
