Fur Ball Benefit For AWL Planned

Posted
The eighth annual Fur Ball will be Sept. 20 and is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County.
The event is at 6 p.m. at the Toyota Showroom, located north of Warsaw on Ind. 15.
“This year is an exciting year with the announcement of plans for a new shelter, and the second annual Warsminster Dog Show in which the audience gets to vote for the best pet,” said Darla McCammon, AWL executive director.
This event has grown in fun and stature since its inception, McCammon said. Casual or chic attire fits the mood of this event where everyone is comfortable.
There will be food, beverages and a silent auction.
The evening’s entertainment for the community will be the dog show. Pets that have been adopted from the shelter will be entered in a competition, and the audience gets to pick the pet that wins.
A live auction will top things off with items including Colts tickets, a helicopter ride to and from Indianapolis with chauffer to dinner at the Cerulean Restaurant in downtown Indianapolis, a night in Chicago, a trip to the Westminster dog Agility show in Madison Square Garden, some custom-made surprises and more.
Reservations are $40 per person and can be made by calling 574-267-3008 Tuesday Through Saturday after 8:15 a.m. Tickets at the door will be $5 additional. Reservations also can be placed online at www.awlwarsaw.com, or sent to AWL P.O. Box 1906, Warsaw, IN 46581.
