Continuously serving Kosciusko County since 1854
Editor, Times-Union:
On behalf of the ML Community Impact Alliance Inc. and the Freedom Fest Committee, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the sponsors, donors, volunteers and community partners who helped make Freedom Fest 2026 a tremendous success and were able to overcome some weather issues.
Because of your generosity and support, thousands of residents and visitors were able to come together to celebrate America’s 250th birthday through a weekend filled with patriotism, family activities, entertainment, veterans’ recognition and unforgettable memories.
Your contributions — whether financial, in-kind, promotional, logistical, attending or through volunteer service —not only made Freedom Fest possible, but also demonstrated the strength of our community and the spirit of collaboration that makes Kosciusko County such a special place to live.
In addition to producing Freedom Fest, we had the support of many in-kind sponsors and volunteers that allowed us to complete approximately $100,000 worth of improvements and cleanup projects at the Kosciusko County Community Fairgrounds. Through countless volunteer hours and generous in-kind donations, improvements were made to the grounds, parking areas, grandstands, infrastructure and overall appearance of the facility. These enhancements will benefit 4-H, FFA, fairgrounds visitors, community organizations and local events for years to come. Please know that your financial donations were used solely for funding Freedom Fest.
Freedom Fest was truly a community effort, and its success belongs to all of you. Together, we celebrated our nation’s 250th birthday while investing in the future of one of our community’s most treasured assets — the Kosciusko County Community Fairgrounds. We will be able to submit to the National America 250 #americagives initiative that we logged just under 2500 volunteer hours for our community.
If we have inadvertently omitted anyone from this list, please accept our sincere apologies and know that your support is equally valued and appreciated.
Thank you for helping us celebrate America, strengthen our community, and create lasting memories for generations to come.
With sincere appreciation,
The Freedom Fest Committee
