Free Concert 'Across The Sea' Is March 11

WINONA LAKE – The Christian Performing Artists’ Fellowship will host “Across the Sea,” a free concert showcasing favorite classical composers from around the world.
The venue is Rodeheaver Auditorium in Winona Lake (between Park and 9th Avenue) March 11 at 7:30 p.m.
Nationally acclaimed pianist Daniel Horn is to perform solo works “Toccata in G Major,” BWV 916 by German composer Johann Sebastian Bach and “Après une lecture de Dante: Fantasia Quasi Sonata” by Hungarian composer Franz Liszt.
Additionally, Horn will join local cellist Barbara Kavanaugh for a duo of French composer Claude Debussy’s “Sonate pour Violoncelle et Piano.” Other selections for the evening will be performed by musicians of CPAF.
A Detroit native, Horn studied at Peabody Institute and Juilliard Conservatory. He is an active solo and chamber musician, performing across the U.S. and abroad in Bermuda, China and France.
Horn is currently professor of piano and chair of keyboard studies at the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music.  He is also a faculty artist to the summer MasterWorks Festival in Winona Lake.CPAF, sponsor of the summer MasterWorks Festival in Winona Lake, is a non-profit organization that seeks to train and minister to artists worldwide. During the fall and spring, CPAF offers free concerts to the community on the second Sunday of the month.
