Worldwide Free Comic Book Day comes to Warsaw with comics for all ages!Chimp's Comix in Warsaw is one of thousands of comic book shops around the world celebrating the comic book art form on May 5. On Free Comic Book Day, close to 2 million comic books will be given away by participating stores, introducing as many people as possible to the wonders of comic books.
"The wide array of comic books being published today ensures that readers of all ages - children, teens and adults - can find something appropriate that will stir their imaginations," said Nick Kelley, owner of Chimp's Comix.
Now in its sixth year, Free Comic Book Day has proven to be a success, spreading the word that comics are terrific reading.
"Even if you have never picked up a comic book, stop into Chimp's Comix, because you never know what you will end up finding," said Kelley. "We at Chimp's Comix are giving away 2 free comic books per person. If a person wants more comic books than that, we will be accepting donations of non-perishable food items to be given to charity. Each food item will warrant another free comic book. Comic books and graphic novels are back in the forefront of today's culture. We see comic book ideas in movies, music, video games and television."
