NORTH WEBSTER – A free comedy improv workshop for teenagers 14 to 17 years old will be held at The River coffeeshop in North Webster July 7 from 4 to 7 p.m. A short showcase after the workshop will be held at 7:30 p.m. for the public. The River owner, Kelly Fitzpatrick-Thompson, and Los Angeles comedian Jessica Hardy have teamed up to provide this opportunity for youth in Kosciusko County during Hardy's summer visit to the area. This workshop will kick off an initiative to help start a local teen improv troupe, with a goal of offering more improv classes this fall for teens at The River. The class will consist of improv techniques and games which are used in professional improv groups as well local adult troupe Main on Main, which Hardy trained in 2012 and 2013. To sign up, parents need to register their teen at The River in North Webster. The class has limited space. If you have questions about the class, contact Hardy at jesnhardy@gmail.com To learn more about her, visit jessicahardy.org
