Frederick Rex “Freddie” Robertson, 49, of Castro Valley, and formerly of Warsaw, entered into rest April 27, 2012, in Castro Valley.
He was born Sept. 6, 1962, in Orange, Calif., to Fred Stevenson and Lottie Elizabeth Kreger Robertson.
He formerly lived in Manteca and Warsaw for several years. He was a truck driver for more than 20 years and was proud to be involved in transporting rare, antique and high-end vehicles working for Fed-Ex and Passport Transport. He enjoyed riding dirt bikes, camping and barbecuing with family and friends and getting new tattoos. He loved his dogs CoCo, D_O_G and Mandy and volunteered at the animal shelter in Dublin. He was a good and reliable friend to all who knew and loved him. He was always available to help those in need, any time any day. He had a great sense of humor, loved to play practical jokes and was always ready to have a good time. Due to his extensive travels, he had many stories to tell and life lessons to share with his kids and grandkids. He was a risk taker, and had “no fear.” He was always up for any challenge. His greatest enjoyment came from being surrounded by his children, grandchildren, family and friends and his gift was being able to make everyone around him feel important and loved.
Surviving are his grandmother, Elveta Robertson, Orange; his longtime love and partner, Yvette Surendran, Castro Valley; his children: Stephanie M. and Jamie B.
