SYRACUSE – Fred Elstrod Jr., 92, of Syracuse, died Jan. 9, 2012, in Greencroft Health Care, Goshen.
He was born March 9, 1919. His wife, Emily, died in 2003.
He moved to Syracuse from Indianapolis in 1952. He was involved with retail as well as wholesale auto sales. He also helped his wife operate the Syracuse Gift Shop for many years.
Surviving are two sons, Kim Elstrod, Syracuse, and Fred Elstrod III, Nashville, Ind.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nashville.
