DECATUR – Fred A. Scheiderer, 95, of Decatur, died at 10:05 p.m. Sept. 11, 2012, in Adams Memorial Hospital.
He was born Feb. 17, 1917, in Kenton, Ohio, to George W. and Matilda Viola Dyer Scheiderer. On Feb. 17, 1938, he married Melba L. Kraft, who died June 18, 2000.
Surviving are two daughters, including Madge Harman, Claypool; two sons; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother.
Services will be private with the Rev. Randy Rossman officiating. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery.
