Frank Paul Marol Sr., 82, died May 12, 2007, in Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester.
He was born May 27, 1924, in Chicago, Ill., to Louis and Gilda Ann Boscia Schiavone. On Nov. 6, 1949, he married Denise A. Plets, who died April 20, 2006.
Moving to Warsaw from Chicago 47 years ago, he worked in customer service for R.R. Donnelley's for 25 years, retiring in 1986. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, a past grand knight of Knights of Columbus and a past commander of American Legion Post 49.
Surviving are a son, Frank Marol Jr., Warsaw; three daughters, Mrs. Larry (Gilda) McDonald and Mrs. Jim (Patti) Thompson, both of Warsaw, and Mrs. Jay (Mary) Highley, Indianapolis; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Msg. James Wolfe officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with a military graveside service by members of American Legion Post 49.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with rosary recited at 7 p.m.
