SYRACUSE — Francis D. Lilly, 63, Syracuse, passed away at 4:03 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2018, at his home.

He was born Dec. 2, 1954, in Paintsville, Ky., to Francis Marion and Ethel Faye May Lilly.

He grew up in Paintsville, graduated from Johnson Central High School in Paintsville and moved to the Syracuse area in 1974.

He was married on Jan. 10, 1976, in Syracuse, to Barbara A. “Barb” Kehr, who survives.

He retired from Rinker Boat Co. in Syracuse after 36 years and formerly was employed at Travel Equipment in Goshen.

He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles 3760 and Syracuse Sons of the American Legion Post 223, both in  Syracuse, and former member of the VFW in Syracuse.

He is survived by his wife, Barb Lilly, Syracuse; two daughters, Alison (Richard) Powell and Amy Lilly, both of Syracuse; four grandchildren; three sisters: Brenda Alexander, Pierceton; Faye Lilly, Pierceton; and Debbie Lilly, Warsaw; and two brothers, Charles (Wilma) Lilly, Olive Hill, Ky., and Marion (Sandy) Lilly, Syracuse.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Simon Willis Lilly.

Visitation will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse.

Cremation will follow at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, Warsaw.
