NORTH MANCHESTER – Frances Marie Bowman Sutton, 86, of Lafayette and formerly of North Manchester, died at 9:14 a.m. Aug. 18, 2012, in IU Arnett Hospital, Lafayette, surrounded by her loving family, after a one-week battle with leukemia.
She was born March 20, 1926, in Lagro, to Delbert and Harriett Smith Bowman. On Dec. 24, 1944, she married Wayne Sutton, who died in June 1984.
She retired from Heckman Bindery, North Manchester, after 40 years service. She was a 1944 graduate of Lagro High School.
Surviving are a daughter, Cheryl Crum, Lafayette; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, June (and spouse Joe) Noonan, Washington, Mo., and Sharon (and spouse Lowell) Lindzy, Silver Lake. She was preceded in death two brothers and three sisters.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Servia.
