Frances L. “Frankie” Hughes, 74, of Silver Lake, passed away at 10:10 p.m. August 10, 2011, in her son’s residence in Nappanee.
She was born Jan. 2, 1937, in Bonanza, Ky., to Tom and Myrtle Mann Conley. On May 12, 1959, in Silver Lake, she married Elmer G. Hughes, who died Jan. 7, 2003.
A Silver Lake resident since 1945, she was a homemaker and a member of Living Hope Ministries, Warsaw; Wednesday Night Bible Study at Living Hope; and a lifetime member of the Sportsman’s and Farmer’s Conservation Club, Silver Lake.
Surviving are a daughter, Penny (and spouse Conley) Hall, Mentone; a son, Doug (and spouse Mona) Hughes, Nappanee; a sister, Venus (and spouse Alex) Macias, Sacramento, Calif.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, a son, a grandchild, two brothers and six sisters.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Living Hope Ministries, Warsaw, with Pastor Lewis Wedstel Shepherd officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Claypool.
Calling is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the church.
