NORTH WEBSTER - On March 19, Boy Scout Troop 726 held an Eagle Court of Honor at the North Webster United Methodist Church to present the highest Boy Scout rank of Eagle Scout to Brandon Fox.
Fox completed his Eagle project in May 2010. His project consisted of planning, researching and leading fellow Boy Scouts and adult volunteers in landscaping the newly completed restrooms at the North Webster Lion's Club festival grounds to get ready for the 2010 Mermaid Festival. He then completed his Eagle application and appeared before an Eagle Board of review Dec. 23, to complete the requirements to earn the Eagle rank.
The master of ceremony for the Court of Honor was Pastor Jeremy Myers, a committee member for Troop 726.
Chartered Organization Representative Jay Johnson, an Eagle Scout, gave a presentation of the Eagle in history.
Cub Scout Pack 3726 Treasurer Ron Mason, an Eagle Scout, presented the charge to Fox as to what being an Eagle Scout will mean to his future.
Assistant Scoutmaster Monty Lackey presented Fox with his Eagle badge and medal.
In addition to presenting his parents with the Mother and Father's Eagle pins, Fox presented the Eagle Mentor pin to Mike Lyon, Syracuse.
There were 80 friends, family, Scouts and Scouters in attendance for the Eagle Court of Honor.
Fox is an eighth-grade student at Wawasee Middle School, where he is in the math and English honors program. He has played on the WMS football team the last two years, been in the band for the last three years and is a member of the Academic Superbowl team for WMS.He is the son of Scott and Michele Fox, and he has an older brother, Christopher, who is also an Eagle Scout.
Boy Scout Troop 726 is chartered by the North Webster United Methodist Church and the Troop meets every Tuesday night at the church from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
