Fourth Arrest Made In April 16 Brawl

A fourth man has been arrested for his alleged involvement in a brawl April 16.

Miguel Angel Jiminez, 32, of 515 Indiana St., Warsaw, was arrested and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 4:28 p.m. Thursday for aggravated battery and driving while intoxicated. His bond was set at $5,000.

Around 5:45 p.m. April 16, officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department responded to a call about a fight in progress at Green Acres Mobile Home Park. When officers arrived, they found two severely beaten men in the road near lot 14.

Jiminez was one of the men beaten in the altercation, and he was airlifted to Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, for treatment of severe injuries.

Another Antonia Tlahuextl, 47, Warsaw, also was taken to Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, for treatment of his injuries.

After conducting interviews and an investigation, officers found that Jimenez allegedly was intoxicated and driving through the trailer park when he hit a parked vehicle.

Following the accident, Jiminez and his passenger Margorito A. Hernandez, 38, of Warsaw, got out of the car and got into a verbal fight with Tlahuextl.

Jiminez and Hernandez reportedly beat Tlahuextl until he fell to the ground.

Then Andres Tlahuextl, Antonia's son, and Armando Ortega, reportedly began to attack Jiminez. After Jiminez was on the ground, Andres Tlahuextl and Ortega allegedly continued to punch and kick him in the head until he lost consciousness.

Andres Tlahuextl, 28, of Warsaw, and Ortega, 31, of Warsaw, were each arrested and charged with felony aggravated battery.

Hernandez was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
