Two men were injured in a four-vehicle accident Saturday afternoon at the intersection of Ind. 19 and U.S. 30, near Etna Green. David P. Harmon, 26, Goodland, and Neal R. Schrimshaw, 54, Boling Brook, Ill., were treated at Kosciusko Community Hospital for minor contusions and abrasions and released. According to Indiana State Police, Harmon was northbound on Ind. 19 when he pulled into the path of Schrimshaw, who was eastbound on U.S. 30. Another eastbound vehicle, driven by Patti A. Haines, 45, Warsaw, then struck the rear of Schrimshaw's vehicle, and Harmon's and Schrimshaw's vehicles then struck the vehicle of Tommy J. Mitchell, 44, Fort Wayne, which was waiting to turn east onto U.S. 30. Police indicated that the use of seatbelts reduced injuries to Harmon and Schrimshaw. The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department, Multi-Township EMS and Bourbon Fire Department assisted at the scene. Photo by Gary Nieter, Times-Union
