Four Teens Face Booze Charges

Four teens were arrested early this morning after police received a call of people throwing rocks and being disorderly on Bayview Drive.

Around 2:36 a.m. today, the Warsaw Police Department responded to the complaint, and found four teen boys laying in the roadway on Bayview Drive.

Two of the boys fled the scene, and the K-9 unit was called to track them.

The two boys who stayed at the scene reportedly had alcohol on their breath, and were tested then arrested.

Brian Warren Thallemer, 18, of 1904 Bayview Drive, Warsaw, and Blayke Jorden Kaufman, 19, of 6569 N. CR 800N, Nappanee, were booked into the Kosciusko County Jail for possession/consumption of alcohol by a minor. Their bonds were set at $300.

Officers found two other teens, Chase Byerly, 19, of 3308 N. Knollwood Drive, Warsaw, and David Richard Blakemore, 19, of 2469 W. Wildwood Trail, Warsaw, at Thallemer's residence at 1904 N. Bayview Drive shortly after they ran. Byerly and Blakemore also were arrested for possession/consumption of alcohol by a minor and were held on $300 bonds.
