AKRON – The Akron Area Arts League is offering four art camp opportunities for children who have completed first through fifth grade. All the camps will be different and the cost for each is $25 per child, which includes all materials. Camp No. 1 is scheduled for 1 to 4 p.m. June 15 to 18 at at the Scout Hall in Warbel Park, North Manchester. Manchester University associate art professor EJenobo (Jena) Oke will teach. Camp No. 2 will be from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 22 to 25 at the Bell Memorial Library, Mentone. Gretchen Coplen, former public school art teacher, will teach. Camp No. 3 will be from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 6 to 9 at the Akron Community Center. Former public school art teacher Brenda Ramseier will teach. Camp No. 4 will be 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 27 to 30 in the Fulton County Public Library, Rochester. Lindsey Kozubik, art teacher with Logansport Public Schools, will teach. Identify which camp/s your child will attend and send a check along with your child’s name, grade level, address, email address and phone number of the person responsible for the child during the camp to Akron Area Arts League, Box 702, Akron, IN 46910.
