A two-vehicle collision at the intersection of U.S. 30E and CR 150W, Warsaw, put four Warsaw residents in the hospital Sunday.
At 5:31 p.m., an eastbound pickup driven by Christopher Graber, Warsaw, allegedly failed to stop at a red light and collided with James Koser's southbound car.
Graber and Koser both suffered minor facial bleeding and were treated and released from Kosciusko Community Hospital.
Two passengers in Koser's car, Raymond Warren, 41, and Beth Warren, 51, both of Levi Lee Road, Warsaw, were critically injured in the accident.
Beth Warren was thrown from the vehicle and was found pinned under the car's rear bumper by police. Raymond Warren was found unconscious in Koser's lap and had to be extricated from the vehicle. Both Warrens suffered unspecified head injuries.
The Warrens were airlifted to Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, by Samaritan and Western Michigan Air Care air ambulances and remain in critical condition as of 10 a.m. today.
According to police reports, Koser's license was suspended indefinitely prior to the accident. The car was registered to Beth Warren, but Koser told police he was driving because his passengers were intoxicated.
Koser, who reportedly admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages earlier in the day, told police he believed he was sober enough to drive home from Leesburg.
Alcohol and drug screens were requested for both drivers and toxicology reports are not yet available.
