Four people were injured in a head-on collision Sunday, with three transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital. According to a Warsaw Police Department crash report, Geneva B. Spencer, 87, Bloomington, was traveling eastbound on Winona Avenue around 12:30 p.m. Sunday and approaching the intersection of Hand Avenue in Warsaw when she turned left and struck another vehicle, driven by Dale R. Riley, 53, North Zimmer Road, Warsaw. Spencer told police she did not observe the other vehicle before turning left. Riley told police he was traveling westbound on Hand Avenue when Spencer’s car turned in front of him and he was unable to avoid the collision. Spencer suffered multiple lacerations to both forearms and was transported to KCH for treatment. Riley complained of back pain but refused medical treatment. One of Riley’s passengers, Tammy L. Riley, 50, of the same address, complained of chest, abdominal and leg pain and was also transported to KCH for treatment. Riley’s second passenger, James W. Ratliff II, 23, Lafayette, was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident and complained of neck, back and shoulder pain and was also transported to KCH to be treated for his injuries. Damage from the accident was estimated between $10,000 and $25,000.
