I am interested in getting any information from anyone who knew the Four Freshmen, or maybe sang along with them when they were in Warsaw at my parents' house at 815 E. Ft. Wayne St., formerly owned by Vicki and Bill Wagoner.
I've talked to the wife of a former Freshmen who told me some nice things, and a couple of neighbors who remember hearing them sing all night long, and said what a thrill it was because, in the '50s, The Four Freshmen were very popular at that time.
If my parents' walls could talk, I bet there was all kinds of fun and talent that went through our house. The home was the first house in the state to be wired throughout with state-of-the-art sound system and stereo, and I believe recording room. There's speakers built in all over the place! It was put in by Dale Secor, who owned Secor Sound Systems (everyone knew Dale!).
I would love to hear from anyone who remembers anything about this. My dad, Don Wiley, passed away not long ago, and we're getting the home ready to sell soon, but would love to have a open house. We have had quite a bit of interest in seeing the home, even by the president of the Four Freshmen Fan Club!
I talked to a lovely lady not long ago - Betty, I'll be calling you again soon - her husband was one of the original Four Freshmen, and I wasn't sure if I should use your name.
Thank you, and any information you have would be greatly appreciated.
