Four men were arrested outside a local establishment after allegedly threatening to shoot several people.
No weapon was found in the vehicle the men were in as they attempted to leave El Palacio Tropical on Anchorage Road near Warsaw early Sunday morning, according to police.
Officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department and Warsaw Police Department responded to a call from the business at 1:30 a.m. Sunday. The caller told a dispatcher that several people were fighting outside the business. The men arrested were reportedly threatening people with a handgun.
Arrested were:
Isidro Jimenez Hernandez, 22, of 1200 N. Main St. #101, Nappanee, charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct;
Alejandro Jasso Herrera, 21, of 1200 N. Main St. #101, Nappanee, charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct;
Rodolfo Jasso Herrera, 19, of 1200 N. Main St. #101, Nappanee, charged with public intoxication, disorderly conduct, illegal possession or consumption of alcohol by a minor and being a minor in a tavern; and
Ricardo D. Gracia, 22, Goshen, charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
All of the men except the younger Herrera were held on $175 bond. The fourth bond was set at $250.
The club owner told police the four men were extremely intoxicated and causing trouble inside, so they were asked to leave. However, they then allegedly became unruly and belligerent and were breaking beer bottles and making threats, so police were called. About 40 to 60 people were outside when the confrontation occurred.
Once at the jail, officials said the men refused to cooperate, so they were kept in a holding cell until first-shift jailers came on duty and were able to obtain their information. Police also reported confiscating several false identification cards from the men. Additional charges may be filed, according to a KCSD report.
