I just read Deb McClintock's letter to the editor and I completely agree with her. I am also very upset at the loss of our one and only Fort Wayne station. They reported more of our local news than any of the South Bend stations.

I bet that they even carried the story of our seventh-grade runner-up at the Spelling Bee. I wouldn't know. I don't get to watch Fort Wayne news anymore.

Many people from this area work and go to school in Fort Wayne and would like to check the traffic report that they have on every morning. I have family that live in Fort Wayne, and I like to know what is going on there. Also, when anyone is air lifted to another hospital, you guessed it, they go to Fort Wayne. Many people from this area are referred to specialists in Fort Wayne, and many doctors from Fort Wayne have offices in Warsaw.

I would say Warsaw has a lot more ties to Fort Wayne than to South Bend. Besides, there are several South Bend stations that we get, so why do we have to have all South Bend stations?

I'm with you, Deb. If you can find out how we can fight this, let me know. I, too, am looking for an alternative source just so I can watch our local news and weather.
