Fort Wayne Philharmonic Performs Sunday At Rodeheaver Auditorium

WINONA LAKE - The Lakeland Community Concert Association is sponsoring an appearance of the Fort Wayne Philharmonic Sunday at 2 p.m.

The orchestra will perform its Christmas Pops Concert in Rodeheaver Auditorium.

Individual tickets for people 19 years old and older are $15 and are available at the door. Children, 18 years old and younger, may attend free when accompanied by an adult.

The orchestra, established in 1953, has 55 full-time musicians and 20 part-time musicians and adds musicians when needed. Its nine- month season comprises four subscriptions series, including the Grand, Spectrum, Pops and Freimann series.

More than 20 regional concerts are performed and the educational program includes six full orchestral performances as well as hundreds of performances by nine chamber ensembles.

The Fort Wayne Philharmonic appearance is the third LCCA concert this season. Season tickets are $30 and also will be available during Sunday's concert. Two more concerts remain in the 2002-03 season. Pianist Antonio Pompa-Baldi will appear March 14, followed by violinist Linda Wang April 12.

LCCA season ticket holders also may attend concerts in four other communities.
