Fort Wayne Air Show To Donate Proceeds To Wounded Warrior

FORT WAYNE – Fort Wayne Air Show organizers plan to donate proceeds from their pre-show dinner and concert Friday to the Wounded Warrior Project.
The pre-show event is Friday evening at the Fort Wayne Air National Guard base. Tickets sold out quickly for the barbecue dinner and concert, which features Jason Michael Carroll and band Sugar Shot.
The air show runs from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the base, with gates opening at 9 a.m.
The base is at 3005 W. Ferguson Road, Fort Wayne.
Parking and admission to the air show are free.
The Wounded Warrior Project is a national nonprofit organization based in Jacksonville, Fla., that offers 18 programs and services to assist service members who have been injured in the line of duty.
More than 47,000 service members have been injured in recent conflicts, with as many as 400,000 suffering from combat-related depression and post-traumatic stress, according to information provided.
Another 320,000 are believed to have experienced a traumatic brain injury while deployed.
