Former ViewPoint Fire Blamed On Cleaning Rags

An estimated $1,000 damage resulted when cleaning rags apparently self-combusted at the former ViewPoint Restaurant on Ind. 15 in Warsaw.

Warsaw firefighters were called to the site, which is being remodeled and will soon open as Orion's Restaurant, at 9:15 p.m. Officials said the small fire was extinguished in about 10 minutes and that most of the damage was caused by smoke.

Firefighters were on the scene until 11:02 p.m. The incident remains under investigation.
