PLYMOUTH – During National Pizza week, Doug and Krista Moats announced they are the new owners of Bourbon Street Pizza in Plymouth. The Moats purchased the restaurant from long-time owner Tim Harman and have been operating it since the start of the new year.
Doug is a former broadcast meteorologist who spent years on air at WANE-TV in Fort Wayne and did some fill in work at WNDU-TV in South Bend. His wife, Krista, currently serves as the IT communications manager at the University of Notre Dame.
The Moats family includes five children, four boys and one girl. Their twin sons, Colin and Raylon, are members of Plymouth’s Hybrid Combat Club, where they qualified for both semi-state and freshman and sophomore state wrestling tournaments as sophomores.
