Doug Blanton, who lost his mobile home in a fire July 22, is seeking financial help with veterinarian bills.
Blanton’s 9-year-old dog, Patches, was transported the day of the fire to Lake City Animal Clinic, Warsaw, for smoke inhalation.
Blaton said Patches died July 24.
Dufus, a cat owned by his daughter, Samantha Blanton, was transported to the clinic the day of the fire and returned home July 24.
Garfield, a cat owned by Blanton’s son, Trece Blaton, died in the fire.
Blanton said he is now living in Akron with a friend and is requesting the community provide financial assistance for the $1,300 vet bill he has. Funds can be dropped off at Lake City Animal Clinic, 819 E. Winona Ave., Warsaw.
“I’d appreciate any help I can get,” Blanton said.
