Editor, Times-Union: Forgive my ignorance but I am a bit behind the times on some things. Why does Obama have “czars” following him around and what do they do? When did this practice of having czars begin in America? Didn’t Ceasar have czars? He ran an empire. A bad one at that. Are we an empire? And weren’t czars popular in Soviet Russia when it was the “USSR.” Does that mean America is now the “USSA”? Are we a communist country now? What does it all mean? I’m so confused.
Do we really need more employees in our government? I thought they were working to downsize Washington’s payroll. Does the president not have enough people to help him out? What does his cabinet do? What are senators and congresspersons and state representatives for? Why does he need so many advisors? Man! He must be confused with all the input from “everyone” in Washington. I know I am.
