On June 2, the Kosciusko County Fraternal Order of Police held its annual golf outing in support of the Phillip Hochstetler and Jason Beal Memorial Scholarships each year. The golf outing was a success again this year, with two scholarships being awarded during the golf outing. The two scholarships awarded were presented to Morgan Jones, Warsaw Community High School, and Joe Leach, Wawasee High School. Leach will attend University of Indianapolis in the fall, majoring in criminal justice. Jones will attend Ball State University in the fall, majoring in nursing. Also presented was a check to continue the support of the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department's Phil Hostetler Memorial Scholarship. A total of four scholarships are supported by this event each year in the names of Phillip Hochstetler and Jason Beal, whom were both killed in the line of duty while serving Kosciusko County.
