WABASH -ÊA Florida man is dead following a one-vehicle accident Saturday night in Wabash County.
James B. Hewett, 69, of Blountstown, Fla., was pronounced dead at Wabash County Hospital after his car hit a tree.
Hewett was southbound on Ind. 13 about a quarter mile north of CR 950S in Wabash, when his vehicle left the road and hit a tree.
Hewett was taken to Wabash County Hospital where he was pronounced dead by Wabash County Coroner Marilyn McDonald.
The Wabash County Sheriff's Department was assisted at the scene of the crash by the Noble Township Volunteer Fire Department, the Wabash County Emergency Management Agency and the Huntington County Sheriff's Department.
