Flapping

Posted
Editor, Times-Union:

And flap we will, Gary. Dane Miller is probably one of the sweetest and kindest local venture capitalists I will ever meet and have the privilege of working for, unfortunately his comments only go further to show just how out of touch people at his level in society really are.

The poor county commissioners also have gone on to publicly display how out of touch they are with the electorate. Gary Gerard's article seems like an attempt to foster some sort of sympathy for these elected officials because they have chosen to put themselves on the hot seat by addressing this issue and it being reported in the Times-Union.

Simply enough, if the City of Warsaw chooses not to annex the property it needs to vacate 100E, then the issue of closing the road falls squarely upon the county.

There is one solution that federal laws may prohibit, do a web search on Gibraltar Airport. To me this seems like an equitable solution. If the $6 million dollar handout from the Obama Administration isn't enough to cover the additional cost, maybe those who want this most could pool their resources to prevent what amounts to more than an inconvenience.

To prevent what amounts to endangering the lives of people who use this main artery on a daily basis by cramming all the traffic together on Ind. 15.

Speaking of flapping, I have flapped my gums enough about this now. If you want to learn more or voice your support or opposition to this proposal visit the FACEBOOK group "We Oppose Closing 100E. as part of the Proposed Airport Expansion in Warsaw".
