Posted
Kent Flannery, 32, of Milford, appeared before Kosciusko County Superior Court I Judge Duane Huffer in a plea hearing this morning to plead guilty to one count of child molesting, a class A felony, and one count of incest, a class B felony.
Flannery was arrested in late October after a Milford woman had her child checked for molestation at Goshen General Hospital. At that time a Milford Police Department officer met with the woman and spoke to her.
MPD officers spoke with Flannery, who admitted he had been sexually involved with the child since 2008. He informed the officers that the last time he had sexual relations with the child was the last week of September 2012.
Flannery also admitted to engaging in certain graphic acts with the child.
As part of the plea agreement, a third count of child molesting, a class C felony, was dropped.
Flannery appeared with his counsel, attorney Jay Rigdon.
The Class A Felony count of child molestation carries the possibility of 20 to 50 years in the Indiana Department of Corrections with a fine up to $10,000, while the Class B felony charge of incest carries the possibility of six to 20 years and a fine up to $10,000.
