I wasn't going to write about this, but the more I think about it I decided to do it.
We travel and usually when we are going to be gone awhile I take our flags down - my beloved American flag and my Navy flag to honor our ensign grandson. This time we were gone a month and I forgot to take the flags down. We were out doing yard work when we got home and my husband said we need the flags up. Well, we looked and the rope that holds the flags on our flagpole had been cut. Someone stole the flags and the clips that you hang them with. Unbelievable.
I have torn this house apart looking for them in case I had taken them down and forgot where I put them. No such luck.
Anyhow, whoever took our flags I feel sorry for you - to steal something like that.
Now I feel better. If you have a flagpole and your flag is someday missing, just know there are sick people out there that will steal anything.
